The four dials on every answer you get.
Researchers measured 309,000 real conversations across three models and twenty languages. Every answer swings on four dials, and almost nobody knows they are there. That is why the writing comes back agreeable, six paragraphs long, and useless.
The card names each dial, tells you what a wrong setting looks like on a normal Tuesday, and gives you the sentence that moves it. Page two is the part nobody in Montreal has told you: the answer you get in French is not a translation of the answer you get in English.
